We went here for my birthday. I haven't been here in years. It looked the same. It has a dark steakhouse feel to it. We were seated in the booths on the left side of the restaurant. Our server was pretty attentive, but we had to ask if there were any specials that weren't on the menu. We were brought out bread and an oil with a bean dip (I thought it was hummus, but when asking the server he said it was bean). It didn't have much flavor to it. For our meals I ordered the filet medium rare and my boyfriend ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna appetizer and penne vodka pasta dish. His pasta was very good. I didn't try the tuna since I do not eat tuna. He said it was ok, but the "sides" that came with it weren't neccessary. My filet was very good, but very rare. When I cut the first piece it looked medium. But when I cut into the middle of it, it was blue. I didn't say anything at the time, but I know I should have since it was extremely rare. I wasn't too concerned at the time, because I figure it was a good cut of meat, which it was. I got the crispy potatoes as the side, which were very good. My boyfriend did tell the server when we were seated thait was my birthday but the server did not make any mention...not even when offering if we wanted dessert. Overall it was ok. I do want to check out the Sunday brunch which I have heard a lot about.

We ordered PEI Mussels and the sause was spicy and average in taste. Then we ordered spicy tuna tacos and sweet & spicy Calamari.. both are okay.. nothing exceptional in taste. We also ordered some steaks along with mashed potato for main course and it tastes good. The service was awesome, she was ready to explain each and everything in detail. The ambience is also great.. different from the traditional steak houses..

I'm kind of at 4.5 stars, but I can't give that rating. First of all, my review is based on their Sunday Brunch Buffet, rather than Dinner, so please keep that in mind. I can't speak to the previous reviews I have read regarding Mother's Day and Easter buffets, but I just came back from a non-Holiday weekend Sunday Brunch Buffet, and I thought they did a great job with a good variety of food choices, and my wife and I thought all the foods we tried were very good. The price/value ratio is also very good. It did start out badly though, because I couldn't find the omelet station, and I thought they didn't have it, but then when I asked, they showed me where it was, as it was in a room off the main area. They also had a Belgian Waffle station, and that was excellent. My only mild criticisms were that believe it or not, they put too much meat put into the omelets, and the egg/meat ratio wasn't what I would have wanted it to be. Also, the place is very dark for a Sunday Brunch. I'm sure that makes total sense for a Steak Dinner, which is what their primary focus is, but for Brunch, I usually hope for something a little more bright and airy. Still, I'm sure we'll be coming back here again in the future.

I still feel like a novice coal miner entering the pitch black darkness of KC Prime. The only difference now is that I've come to appreciate the stellar service and high performance kitchen. Went for a Super Bowl Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality of their ample offerings. Eggs Benedict with liquid yolks and bagels, lox and capers just as God intended. No complaints whatsoever, I even slid my guide dog a few links of turkey sausage. It makes the dusk to darkness interior much easier to take. Five easy stars.
